This is a great time-saving set of maths homework sheets! They cover six written calculation methods for multiplication, division, addition and subtraction. The methods covered are: 1. Column addition 2. Number line subtraction 3. Column subtraction 4. Column multiplication 5. Grid multiplication 6. Chunking division in columns Each method contains 3 differentiated versions of the worksheet (LA, MA and HA) and a set of answers. The worksheets all start with a visual example and explanation of the method, followed by 8 questions to answer and an extension/challenge task. I have used these for homework and for independent class work in Years 4, 5 and 6. The sheets are all fully editable, so they could also be adapted for other ages. An ideal lesson for International Women's Day (8th March 2018) and for Women's History Month (March). The lesson focuses on discussing famous women from history, identifying their achievements and evaluating why they were so important. The aim is to raise awareness and understanding of the role played by women in helping to shape the world. There are four optional independent tasks as part of the lesson, which can be used at the teacher's discretion. Full differentiation is built into each of these, with challenge activities and support sheets for those who need them. The flexibility of the lesson means that I have been able to use it in Years 2 to 6, but it could also be easily adapted for younger children. This is a primary school assembly or lesson related to e-safety and digital footprints. It can be used across KS2, but is also easy to adapt for younger children. The topics covered also tie in nicely with Safer Internet Day. The main focus of the lesson is to identify what is meant by a digital footprint, before considering the importance of ensuring that we create a positive one. The children can discuss different online scenarios and how to deal with them, then they can design their own digital footprints, based on their own online behaviour. The PowerPoint can be used for a year group or whole school assembly, as a means of introducing some important internet safety themes. Alternatively, it can be used in class for a lesson on digital footprints, as there is also an independent task and full planning provided. This is a pack of E-safety activities, which can easily be used in KS1 and KS2. They can all be linked with Safer Internet Day. The activities cover the following areas: *E-safety board game, covering several online situations. This is a simple dice roll and counter moving game, which is straightforward for the children to follow. There are also editable versions of the game provided, in case you wish to adapt it in any way. *E-safety anagram and word search puzzle - this has two versions with differing levels of support and an answer sheet provided. *Activity for creating a set of E-safety class rules. The PowerPoint also has a set of sample rules, which can be used to support generation of ideas. *Designing a superhero to combat cyberbullying - the PowerPoint is supported with differentiated character template sheets.
